Final walkthru’s have begun and today we see close up’s in the Galley, Salon, Master and Command Bridge. The dinette table in the galley is installed along with the cushions in the settee. We get a nice view of the granite island in the galley along with the cabinetry above and below the counters. By deleting the starboard side door in the galley, we were able to extend the counter all the way forward for additional counter space and cabinets.
The Teak cabinets look amazing as all of the grain is “book matched” to highlight the grain. Interesting note – all of the Teak throughout Steppin’ Out came from the same log, which is how all Marlow’s are built. This give you a consistent grain throughout the boat and really highlights the level of detail they go through to build an amazing vessel!
We also see a nice shot of the Salon with all of the cushions installed along with the table and small ottoman’s that store underneath the table – more on that later. I had to include a picture of the Master Stateroom with our/my 55″ TV finally installed! To the right of the TV you’ll see where we’ve spec’d an additional Multi-function display and wind gauge. This is so that when we’re at anchor and sleeping, we can quickly check to see if we’ve slipped the anchor along with the wind speed and direction. We’ve also installed a VHF mic next to my side of the bed so that we can hear any calls that might go out in the middle of the night near us.
The Command Bridge is also coming along nicely as we get a shot of the helm with all of the electronics installed on board to help guide us safely in our travels. I’ll do a complete post on our electronics package in an upcoming post so stay tuned! We also see a close up of the office with a window shade about to be installed. We just love how rich and textured the grain of the Teak looks throughout!
