Today we see the crew quarters that will serve as the shop and storage for spare parts, fishing and dive gear. The crew quarters comes equipped with a TV, Refrigerator and Microwave along with its own “head”. While we won’t have crew aboard at this point, we may take on crew in later years. When the time comes to sell, the next owner may want to have crew aboard.
We also have a few pictures of the Lazerette which is the further point, aft on the boat. You can access this space from the crew quarters or directly from the swim platform. In this space we have the dive compressor which can be seen in the picture titled “Lazerette – looking to starboard” in the lower right hand corner. We’ll be able to fill two dive tanks simultaneously to keep.
“Crash pump” – WHAT!?!? yep, you read that correctly! In the Lazerette, Engine room and Forward Utility space, we have spec’d a total of three, Pacer, hydraulically driven “crash” or dewatering pumps. These bad boys can move the water out to the tune of 240 gallons per minute if needed! They are there in the event of a major water breech in the hull and give us time to locate the breech and then slow the flow of seawater into the boat to keep her afloat. Let’s hope that we never have to put them to the test!
